Reply:If that weld was produce with C25 in "short arc mode", the spatter level is more than likely due to the voltage level. At 200 amps, you should still see real good arc energy, with lighter spatter, with the voltage set in the 24 - 25 volt range.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice

Reply:at that voltage you were probably not in pure short arc mode. More likely you were bordering on globular and/or spray.Miller Multimatic 255

oes the HTP 300 do AC Pulsed TIG?
Reply:Originally Posted by jevsDoes the HTP 300 do AC Pulsed TIG?Finally got around to setting up 92/8 Ar/CO2 (even though I didn't really need it given that this baby goes up to ~40V), and it made dialing in things easy. Playing around with full manual double-pulse on 1/4" steel. Just like TIG pulse, lots of control to be had in the arc characteristics.Slight push angle. No weaving, no patterns. Just pull trigger and move, with slight pause on pulse peak. Full manual control of pulse parameters

ulse frequency (Hz, PPS)Duty Cycle (%)Motor Percent (equivalent to "% base current" in TIG Pulse). And a different run with slightly different settings.Man this spray transfer stuff is HOT! Reply:OMG these are some nice beads. Happy for you brother. I dont currently need a MIG welder, of any level of capability (just sold my Lincoln MP210), but once I need one again, will probably get the PP200. Reply:Originally Posted by koenbroI dont understand why you would do that. Its more expensive, and still needs shipping from Italy; no warranty as not an authorized dealer. So thats the wrong way to get the same welder. Am I missing smth?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reply:Yup, I ran some Lincoln 71M practice beads, and it goes in nice and hot! I like it. I like it a lot.
